On the day of presenting for Group 1 and Group 2, I couldn’t attend due to health problems. But I was sure that even if I wasn't there during Group 1's presentation, they did an outstanding job being able to show what their assigned topic was about and presenting it to the class. My group (#2), had to present without me which caused guilt to fill my mind but based on their feedback it seems like it went smoothly. The next day after the day of presentation, I was able to make up my part of the presentation. I had small index cards ready and was feeling nervous. Despite being two slides that I had to make up, I managed to impress people because I went off script from the cards, not in an off-topic sense, and still delivered the messages I needed to speak towards the audience.      Even if I couldn’t attend the scheduled date to present with my group, I was able to watch Group 3 & 4 present. Their presentation was very informative, and I could tell th...

My group, group 2, did an amazing job with their presentation on chapters 4,6, 7, and 8. They were very informative about how your topic should be something you care about and how when you are passionate about it you instinctively put in more effort and make it more interesting for the audience, another amazing point they elaborated on is that research having evidence is super important for your presentation and having data makes it more reliable and relevant to the audience which would keep their attention on your presentation that could be with speeches or with even writing a paper on a specific topic. Also, with research you must make sure your sources are reliable that is why with your evidence you need to branch out and not just have one major reference you need multiple to have a strong presentation, and no matter what make sure it is in your own word's plagiarism. A critical point is that the abuse of AI can tarnish your presentation. You must ensure your presentation is in ...

Tricks for a Great Presentation Knowing Your Audience Understanding your audience can really change your presentation. Are you talking to professionals, students, or just regular people? For me, I was talking to my classmates that are around my age so i know what they like and how they think. It’s helpful to adjust what you say and use examples they can relate to. When you connect with your audience, they’ll pay more attention and stay interested. Start With A Hook Start your presentation with something that hooks your audience.        Dear blog I just wanna say that I am honestly beyond surprise on how well everything went on the 2 days of presentation. Im not going to lie to you I had many doubts about certain groups presenting just thinking about who would be nervous or who would struggle speaking in front of multiple people. if im being honest all the groups performed really well with very little errors. All of the groups left me blown away with their incredible presentations and made the audience feel involved as well Group 1 Honestly set the tone for the beginning of the presentation. Coming at the audience with very interesting facts and useful tips for presenting a good presentation. I felt like group one really had the audiences attention the longest out of the groups. In my opinion the group that always goes first always has the most attention to the audience. This group mention various suggestions on foundations of public speaking and just listing the different points you need to ...

Dear Blog,  Looking back and reflecting on our first speech as a class, I am beyond proud of how amazing each of us did. I formed part of Group 2, which was full of extremely hard-working and dedicated individuals. Everyone who formed part of my group, communicated in the chat, completed their slides promptly, and overall made sure that we were all coordinated. Words can’t explain how pleased I am, that everything turned out great. \ I can say that I am grateful not only for my team members but our professor, who also took the time and effort to sit and chat with each of the groups to answer any concerns they might have had. She took her time, went around each group, and asked thoroughly what we did and did not understand. She made sure to give us tips, one I still remember today has to be something along the lines of “less is more, be minimalistic with the slide and add few words”. The first presentation we heard came from our team members of Group 1 , they all stood together, a...
