Jazmin Sierra- Reflection 1
Good morning blog,
Reflecting on our first presentation/project, I am incredibly proud of my groups hard work and dedication towards this project. I was a part of Group 2, everyone in my group actively participated, was active in the group chat and completed their part on time ensuring that we were all in sync. Everything we worked on I am thrilled that it worked out perfectly and just how we wanted to. Although during the presentation I was pretty shy and nervous. I was expecting everyone to be as nervous and shy as I was but they completely left me in shock with how incredibly good they were speaking and presented.
Group 1, truly showed us all how it was done during their presentation. They engaged the audience with fascinating facts and practical tips on delivering a strong presentation. They had the audience’s attention in their hand as for honestly the first group up always does since they are the ones that set the tone and give the rest of the groups the enthusiasm to present because it shows us it wasnt that bad to present in front of the class and we had nothing to worry about. They did an amazing job with that. The group provided various suggestions on the foundations of public speaking and outlined key points needed for a successful presentation. Overall they did a great job!
As i was a part of group 2, I believe we could’ve done a better job in presenting. We were all still pretty nervous to speak in front of the class but I believe we did our best and delivered the information on our topic pretty clearly with a good understanding of what our chapters were about on our slides and elaborating more as we were presenting. I am truly proud of how we did and especially that I am really nervous and stutter a lot when it comes to talking in front of a big group of people I am so proud of myself for being able to successfully do that and not block myself to be a little bit more out there. Our group made a significant impact by grasping and highlighting the key points of how to deliver a presentation to a large audience. Proper preparation is crucial for confidently conveying your message, ensuring a successful presentation. We capitalized on planning ahead of time and were ready to tackle any audience questions, even though none were asked during our class presentation. This practice will be invaluable for mastering the skill for future presentations. In conclusion, I rate Group 2 an incredible 10/10 for the fantastic presentation we created and the extreme hard work that it took us all to create it and building the courage to speak in front of an audience.
Groups 3 and 4 really made an impression. With the extra prep time they had, both groups seized the opportunity and truly exceeded expectations. Group 3 had a remarkable moment, particularly when a member who spoke English as a second language delivered her part with striking confidence, surprising the entire class. Their main emphasis was on effectively delivering a speech and ensuring the audience fully understood the message. It's crucial to remember that no one enjoys sitting through a dull or incomprehensible presentation. Group 4, on the other hand, was incredibly engaging. They managed to keep things concise and to the point, using mostly images to maintain the audience's interest and keep everyone alert. Their approach was both entertaining and highly informative. Overall, I was thoroughly impressed by the efforts of both groups. I learned some fascinating points from their presentations. I'd rate Group 3 an 8/10 for their clear communication and impactful delivery. Group 4, with their engaging and visually appealing approach, gets a 9/10 from me.
Everyone’s presentation were so good and you can tell that they all put hard work and dedication into it and i’m so proud of all of them for doing their best. Overall this assignment gave me a great understand ent of what the book is all about and what each chapter speaks about and it gives me so much excitement to look forward to this class and continue presenting and getting out of my bubble.
The end!
Very nice reflection!
